Art has always been a part of Robert’s world. He started drawing when he was young and this was encouraged by his father, David, who was an Engineer and very adept at drawing. Robert loved baking and any craft or creative pursuit. He grew up taking any art & craft class he could.
Once he moved to Vancouver he went to Fashion Design school, working for a Local Fashion Designer and costumer. This lead him to college and the University of British Columbia where he completed his Bachelor of Fine Arts in sculpture and printmaking. He spent many years as a printmaker and then quilter before he discovered his love of painting. He continues to explore and grow the love this medium and all its capabilities.
